Food Drive

The Village will be having a food and donation drive for Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin food bank.  The late Harry Chapin a resident of Huntington Bay founded Long Island Cares to alleviate hunger on Long Island. 

 

We are collecting donations at Village Hall until

Saturday, November 19th  

 

LI Cares also accepts pet food, school supplies, personal care, birthday party supplies, household goods, and baby care products.  They do not accept clothing or furniture.

Most needed items:

  • Solid white tuna (client preference over chunk light)

  • Peanut butter

  • Jelly

  • Canned Meals

  • Tomato Sauce

  • Soy milk

  • Almond milk

  • Oat milk

  • Pasta

  • Cooking oil

  • Canned hams (for single-person families who can’t use a whole turkey)

  • Minute Rice

  • Tissues

  • Toilet Paper
