New Officer Joins Huntington Bay Police Department

Officer Sean Sagistano has joined the Huntington Bay Police Department as its newest full time officer. Officer Sagistano was sworn in by Mayor Herb Morrow at the Village Boards February meeting. He was joined by Chief Chris Jack, Officer James Newman and members of his family.

Officer Sagistano is a graduate of Northport High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Long Island University/CW Post. He graduated from the New York City Police Academy and has served in the New York City Police for the last three years. assigned to a precinct in Queens. He is also a member the East Northport Fire Department.

Village Mayor Herb Morrow said, “Officer Sagistano is a great addition to our Police Team. He is smart, has already accomplished many things in his career, has the skills, training and experience to do the job and he has the perfect demeanor to be an officer in our Village. He joins the department at a great time in its history. The Board and I welcome him and know he has many years ahead of contributions to this great Village. He is part of what makes Huntington Bay one of the safest places in the country to live.
