Huntington Bay, N.Y– December 11, 2009- The Village of Huntington Bay hosted the quarterly Mayors luncheon at Abel Conklins Restaurant in Huntington Village. The event was started ten years ago by Town of Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone and Huntington Bay Mayor Herb Morrow.
The luncheon is informal, with no staff or lawyers. The objective of the meeting is to discuss issues that each Village is facing, as well as Town wide issues. It is also a place where the Mayors can ask the Supervisor questions about the Town and can give their input on issues.
The Supervisor has made staff throughout Town Hall available to the Villages when they need help.
“When I was President of the Suffolk County Village Officials Association I was told by many Mayors in the county that this was a unique thing and that we were very fortunate to be able to work that closely with the Town Supervisor. These meetings have been very productive and have fostered great working and personal relationships” said Huntington Bay Mayor Herb Morrow.
