Huntington Bay, N.Y– July 27, 2010- There is no better way to kick off the school year than by helping other Long Island families send their children off to school happy, healthy, safe and prepared!

Many Long Island families could use a little extra help to make sure that their children have the supplies they will need for the upcoming school year.  This includes (but is not limited to) pencils, pens, notebooks, binders, backpacks, crayons, lunchboxes, markers, rulers, calculators, erasers, scissors and glue.

The Village of Huntington Bay is holding its annual Operation School Supply Drive, from now thru the end of September.   Please help us, help our neighbors in Suffolk County.  This is a great opportunity to get your children involved in making a difference in the lives of some of their classmates!

You can drop off new/unused supplies at Village Hall from 9 am-3 pm Monday through Friday.  All donations will be picked up by the Suffolk County Department of Social Services for distribution.
