Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:40pm. There are 2 public hearings this evening.
Chief’s Report:
There was a burglary on Bay Avenue on 10/15/2006 at
approximately 2-2:30pm. A door was kicked in and
silverware was taken from the dining room. The matter
has been turned over to the detectives at the 2nd
precinct. Chief Hubbs and PO Jack are going to Albany
to review the accreditation materials with the Department
of Criminal Justice. A letter was sent out from
Huntington School District warning residents about
an incident which occurred at a bus stop off Huntington
Bay Road. A student was approached and asked for
directions by the driver of a white car. She refused
to go near the vehicle and met with her school administrator
to report the incident. That information was forwarded
to the SCPD.
Public Hearing-Goodrich Application-289 Vineyard Road
This hearing was continued from September. Ms. Manin reviewed the application for the board. Tom Abbate, representing Mr. & Mrs. Goodrich, presented additional information regarding the application to demolish an existing house and construct a new dwelling in the Waterfront Preservation District. The applicant agreed to record a covenant limiting the height of bushes in the neighbor’s view corridor. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.
Public Hearing-Amendment to Village Code Regarding LL6-2006 Site Plan Review
This amends Local Law 5-2006 previously adopted by the Board of Trustees. After discussion, a motion to approve LL 6-2006 was made by Dennis Gai, seconded by Donald Rave and unanimously approved. This local law will take effect upon filing with the Office of the Secretary of State. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the Board.
Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the Board. There are four open taxes, all others have been paid. Letters were sent to the owners of those properties whose taxes are unpaid. There are three applications before the Zoning Board of Appeals this month. The street sign at the intersection of Upper Drive/Locust Lane was vandalized. The Upper Drive portion will be replaced.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.

At 9pm the Board convened in Executive Session to discuss contract matters. At 9:05 the Board reconvened the regular session. At 9:15pm with no further business to be brought before the Board a motion was made by Mr. Gai to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.
