Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30 pm.
Mayor Morrow reported that the Village has received the results of the EPA evaluation and inspection of the Village of Huntington Bay stormwater MS4, the EPA finds that the Village is in compliance.
Mayor Morrow reported that as part of our public outreach program the Village hosted a presentation by Lorne Brusseau of Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County on Illicit Discharge, Detection and Elimination. Mayor Morrow suggested scheduling another training in March.
Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs delivered his report to the Board. There was low crime this month. All Officers received their yearly firearms qualification. We have started to purchase items which were approved as part of the DA Grant for equipment. Tasers will not be purchased until the training can be scheduled.
Public Comment
Suzanne DeLisi requested that the August minutes be changed to read as follows,
“Ms. Manin responded that she Ms. DeLisi was given an answer, she Ms. DeLisi has commenced litigation and the matter would be discussed at the Court hearing. The minutes will be amended. Ms. DeLisi requested that minutes reflect that she has, on numerous occasions, requested that the Trustees enforce the Zoning Code. Mr. Rave responded that the September minutes did so. Ms. DeLisi expressed her opinion that the Board of Trustees could not sit as the Planning Board.
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin presented her report.
Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb presented her report. As of September 30th, 10 property taxes remain unpaid. Delinquent letters were sent out on October 3rd. The air conditioning system was repaired and does not need to be replaced. We have two estimates for replacement of the generator. We will investigate the possibility of obtaining a grant to cover the cost.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements from September and the list of bills. After review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Dennis Gai to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements for September which was seconded by Jay Meyer and approved 4/0.
Minutes
A motion made by Don Rave to approve the September 12, 2011 minutes was seconded by Jay Meyer and approved 4/0.
A motion made by Don Rave to approve the September 26, 2011 Executive Session minutes was seconded by Jay Meyer and approved 3/0.
