Minutes Board of Trustees October 8 , 2007

Village Attorney: Mara Manin, Esq.

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:35 pm.  There are two public hearing this evening.

Public Hearing

Wendy & Michael Busby, 183 Bay Avenue, Huntington Bay
Dale Stokkers presented the application to request a variance in order to construct a new dwelling to replace one destroyed by fire. Hearing closed at 8:00 p.m.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made to approve the application by Dennis Gai and seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.

 Local Law #3 of 2007 “Amendment to Village Code regarding Real Property Exemption”
Motion made by Mr. Gai to approve Local Law #3 of 2007 as amended and seconded by Mr. McCusker was unanimously approved.
Hearing closed at 8:15 p.m.  Transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.

Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the board.  To date there are 2 unpaid property taxes.  Letters were mailed out on October 1, 2007 to those homeowners. Local Law #3 was filed on September 20t, 2007. There are 2 applicants on the agenda for the Zoning Board of Appeals.  There have been two Bids for Snow Plowing.  Two Village of Huntington Bay signs were replaced this month.  The New Residents party was a success with over 30 attendees. 

Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr.Gai and unanimously approved

Chief’s Report
Dennis Gai delivered Chief Hubb’s report to the board. There were two incidents involving snakes this month and two drug arrests.  Speed signs have been delivered and their locations need to be decided.

Road Commissioner’s Report
Dennis Gai delivered his report to the board.  Drainage project is still underway.

Minutes
A motion made by Mr. Gai to approve the amended September minutes was seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.
 

At 9:25 with no further business to be brought before the Board a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.
