Minutes, Board of Trustees, October 13, 2004

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30p.m.

Police Chief’s Report:
Chief Ray Hubbs updated the Board on the month’s activity. Officer Schondebare will be back to work at the end of the month and Christopher Jack was hired as a full time police officer. Officer Jack will be starting on Halloween.

Drainage
Meetings will be scheduled with each of the neighbors in the Huntington Bay Road and Bay Road area who had drainage problems during the last few big storms. The Mayor asked Mr. Kinch to access the drainage pool that was installed on Taylor Road near the Nathan Hale Beach Club.

Zoning Changes
The Mayor has come up with several areas where the zoning code needs updating. He asked the staff to get a sample code from NYCOM or General Code PUblishers.

Village Attorney’s Report:
Mr. Gesualdi’s discussed his report with the Board. The Harmon case has been withdrawn.

Village Administrator’s Report
Mrs. Pincomb presented her report. There are eight property taxes bills that have not been paid to date. The Zoning Board hearing has been postponed until October 28th. Mrs. Pincomb distributed the state audit report to the Board.

Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and after careful review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Gai to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements, seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.


Road Commissioner’s Report
Vineyard Road has been paved and the pothole on Bay Road has been patched. Vollmuth & Brush is working on the plans for the willow pond drainage project.

Police Contract
At 9p.m. the Board convened into executive session to discuss the police contract with Vincent Toomey, Esq. via telephone. At 9:30p.m. the Board reconvened as the Board of Trustees.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, the monthly meeting was closed at 9:45p.m.
