Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30 pm. There
are five public hearing this evening.
Executive Session
The Board entered into executive session to discuss
potential litigation. Jeffrey Volmuth, Laura Pinto
and Mara Manin were in attendance. Executive session
closed at 7:46 p.m
Public Hearings
Carl Pergola, 19 Hillside Court, Huntington
Bay
James Murphy presented the application to construct
steps for rear yard access and a rear patio and to
legalize grading, the building of a dry stack stone
retaining wall, and a wood deck and steps built without
a permit. The hearing closed at 8:06 p.m. A transcript

Fran Geier, 23 Heckscher Drive, Huntington
Bay
Andrew Schmidt presented the application to construct
a new concrete retaining wall, new wood stairs and
a new wood platform. The hearing closed at 8:15 p.m.

Edward & Meryl Dowling, 40 Bay Crest,
Huntington Bay
Jim Margolin and Andrew Giambertone presented the
application to demolish an existing dwelling and construct
a new dwelling. The hearing ended at 10:05 p.m. and
will remain open. A transcript was taken by Laura

Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs delivered his report to the board. The
Police Department received a grant for $18,000.00
which will be used to purchase a new police vehicle.
A plate reader was installed in one of the police
vehicles.
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the Board.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements
from May and the list of bills and, after review,
questions and discussion, a motion was made by John
McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim
financial statements for May which was seconded by
Jay Meyer and unanimously approved.
Minutes
A motion made by John McCusker to approve the April
minutes was seconded by Don Rave and unanimously approved.
A motion made by John McCusker to approve the May
4, 2009 minutes was seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously
approved.
At 10:45 pm, with no further business to be brought
before the Board the meeting was closed.
