Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs did not attend the meeting; Police Commissioner Dennis Gai delivered the report to the Board

Public Hearing:

Dominic Spada, 8 Highview Drive
The property is located in the Zoning District ‘B.’ In order to maintain existing hedges the applicant requests relief from Chapter 13, Article III, Section 13-10 regarding vision clearance on a corner property. Mr. Spada explained that in addition to protection, the hedges create a privacy buffer and would negatively change the character and look of the neighborhood if they were trimmed to 30” or removed. He presented pictures of the intersection. Mr. Gai stated that it is not a heavily traveled intersection and that the hedges have been cut back from the road. He also stated that as long as the hedges do not overhang the road, Bay Hills does not have an issue with them. A motion to waive the requirements of section § 13-10 on the condition that the hedges are kept trimmed off the road was made by Don Rave, seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved. The hearing concluded at 7:50pm.

Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin presented her report. She will prepare a draft Local Law to authorize the Building Inspector to issue summonses for certain violations of Village Code.

Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements from March and the list of bills. After review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by John McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements for March which was seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously approved.

Minutes
