Minutes Board of Trustees May 14, 2007

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:31 pm. There are 4 public hearings this evening. 

Chief’s Report:
Chief Hubbs delivered his report. This month, there was 1 burglary outside of the Village and 1 attempted break-in on Bay Avenue.

Public Hearing-Local Law 2-2007
Bay Hills Association requested the intersection of Bay Drive East and Highview Drive be designated a four way stop intersection.  A motion made by Jay Meyer to adopt Local Law 2-2007 was seconded by Dennis Gai and unanimously approved. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

Public Hearing-Steven Wilkenshoff-32 Hecksher Drive Huntington Bay NY
Steve Meehan, landscape architect presented the application to construct an in-ground pool, pool surround, patios, retaining walls and pool equipment, to remove a tree within a covenanted area, replace 2 trees that had already been removed from a covenanted area with similar plantings.  A motion to approve the application was made by Dennis Gai, seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously approved. The hearing was closed at 7:50pm.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

Public Hearing-Mike and Susannah Silverstein-3 Harbor Hill Road Huntington Bay NY
Neil Hoffman, architect for the applicant, presented the application. The applicants came before the board for Site plan approval for additions and alterations which involve in excess of 20% of the gross floor area square footage of the dwelling.  A motion to approve the application as modified by the Village Engineer was made by Don Rave, seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved. The hearing was closed at 8:15pm. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

Public Hearing-Ed Finch and Bert Messina-9 Crest Road Huntington Bay NY
Glen Grayson, architect for the applicant, presented the application for second floor addition, masonry patios and a decks in a steep slope area. A $5,000 Road Bond will be required as well as the addition of a 50’run of recycled concrete at the entrance to the work area.  A motion made by Dennis Gai to approve the application with the modifications required by the Village Engineer was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.  The hearing was closed at 8:45pm. Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.

Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the board. There is 1 Zoning Board hearing scheduled this month. The Village streets have been swept and all potholes have been filled and sealed. The Village Election Day is Tuesday, June 19th from 12-9pm here at Village Hall.  Village tax bills have been mailed out to the residents.

Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.

Roads
The drainage project is underway.

Minutes
A motion made by Jay Meyer to approve the March minutes as amended was seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.

At 9:45 with no further business to be brought before the Board a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Dennis Gai and unanimously approved.
