Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:35p.m. There is one public hearing this evening.
Police Report
Chief Ray Hubbs presented his report. A number of mailboxes were knocked over and destroyed on Vineyard Road. The police have identified the person and an arrest will be made when the individual returns from school. Officer Schondebare will be unable to work for another month due to his broken foot. Memorial Day weekend was quiet. Extra officers are scheduled for the July 4th holiday. Since summer camp is starting at the Bay Club the Chief said there will be more patrols on Bay Road.
James Gesualdi
Mayor Morrow thanked James Gesualdi for his past eleven years of service as Village Attorney. After many accolades, Mr. Gesualdi was presented with a plaque and proclamations from Assemblyman Raia, Senator Flanagan, Supervisor Petrone, Suffolk County Executive Levy and Senator Marcellino.
Public Hearing - Amendment to Site Plan Review Local Law #5
The Board discussed incorporating tree removal of any tree over twenty inches wide to fall under site plan review. This topic will be put on the agenda for a public hearing in August. The transcript for this hearing was taken by Laura Pinto.
Village Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the Board. Suzanne DeLisi submitted a FOIL request and acknowledgment has been sent to her. Mr. Iarrobino’s Article 78 has been discontinued. Local Law #5 has been filed with the state.
Village Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb presented her report. The tax bills have been mailed. There are five public hearings scheduled for the Zoning Board this month. The yearly financials have been delivered to Hulse & Company for the annual audit.
Resolution
A resolution was made by Mr. Meyer that the bi-monthly payroll and checking account be transferred from Bank of America to North Fork Bank, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.
Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.
Road Commissioner’s Report
Storm drains are scheduled to be installed on Cedar Lane, at that time the road will also be paved. The three storm drains in the Village have settled; Mr. Antorino will repair the storm drains that he installed. Mr. Gai met with the residents on Upper Drive and they are planning on paving the street. Mr. Gai will write a letter to Highway Superintendent, Ed Naughton requesting the Town to install a storm drain on LeCluse Lane. The end of Vineyard Road from Sydney Road to the beach needs to be repaved.
Minutes
A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the May 15th minutes as amended seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved. A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the May 1st minutes seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.
