Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:40p.m.
Public Hearing – Home Business Activities
Mr. Gesualdi and the Board discussed the local law
and language.
Public Hearing – Rave Application –
Taylor Road - Addition to Garage
Donald Rave recused himself from the Board and presented
his application. Mr. Rave owns a corner lot which
required clearance. There is a large tree at the corner
of Mr. Rave’s property at the intersection of
Taylor and Sydney Roads.
A motion was made by Mr. Meyer and seconded by Mr.
McCusker to approve the Rave application and allow
the tree to remain and unanimously approved.
Village Attorney’s Report
An issues conference is scheduled for next Thursday
regarding the Armonas proposed house on Beach Drive.
Mr. Gesualdi updated the Board on the Locust Lane
project and the McGuigian property.
Public Comment
Gwendolyn Spaulding and Lois Rossbotham came before
the Board raising concerns about a cabana that is
being built on waterfront property.
Police Report
Chief Hubbs distributed his police report. The Board
reviewed the report. The police have and will be conducting
DWI stops throughout the summer. Chief Hubbs and Sergeant
Gurigis have been attending training. Chief Hubbs
wrote a letter to all the summer employees at the
Bay Club to remind them that the speed limit will
be enforced.
Village Administrator Report
Taxes are coming in. Fleetwood Acres is the only outstanding
snow assessment. Pothole repair will begin next week
as well as the white stop lines on Bay Road. The trench
on Bay Road will be filled with dirt. A guardrail
on East Shore Road has to be replaced.
Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements
and the list of bills and after careful review, questions
and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker
to approve the list of bills and the interim financial
statements, seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously
approved.
Minutes
A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the May
minutes as amended, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously
approved.
Cell Tower
After further discussion regarding installing a cell
tower in the Village the Board decided against it.
Executive Session
At 9:30p.m., the Board convened into executive session
to discuss the police contract. The PBA filed for
binding arbitration.
With no further business to be brought before the
Board, the monthly meeting was closed at 9:35p.m.
