Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:35 pm. There are no public hearings this evening.
Mayor Morrow swore in re-elected officials Dennis Gai and John McCusker.
Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs delivered his report to the board. Police activity was mild on the 4th of July due to poor weather conditions. The Police Department is working toward New York State Accreditation. There will be a preliminary assessment followed by the New York State assessment. The evidence locker that is required for State certification is being built and computers are being installed in Police cars within the next month. A Grant was received for Speed Signs.
Don Rave formally commended the Police Department; especially Officer Jack for his response to a recent act of criminal mischief. Officer Jack was able to apprehend and obtain a confession from the suspect.
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.
Road Commissioner’s Report
Dennis Gai delivered his report to the board. A four way stop sign was installed in Bay Hills. Bay Hills Road Assn. is considering putting down white stop lines in the near future. The Vineyard drainage project is underway. Letters were sent to the affected neighbors. The Village is waiting for surveys of the roads where drainage will be installed.
As suggested by Mayor Morrow, the Village needs to go out to bid on a Snow Plow company.
Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the board. As of date, there have been over 600 Property Tax payments. There are less than 100 that are now considered delinquent. Second Notice Village tax bills were mailed out to the residents on Friday, July 6th. There are four Zoning Board hearings this month. Two stop signs need to be replaced due to age and/or graffiti. The Village will apply for a CHIPS reimbursement for this expenditure.
The Village held its annual election on June 19, 2007. There were 97 Ballots cast. Dennis Gai and John McCusker were re-elected.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statement s and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.
Minutes
A motion made by Mr. Gai to approve the June minutes was seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.
Executive Session
The Board convened into Executive Session at 8:20 pm to discuss personnel issues and current litigation. The Board reconvened in open session at 8:45 pm.
At 8:50 with no further business to be brought before the Board a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.
