Minutes, Board of Trustees July 18, 2005

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30p.m.

Judge Stephen Kunken swore in trustees John McCusker and Dennis Gai for their two year term.

Police Report
Mayor Morrow gave Chief Ray Hubbs’ report. The fourth of July was uneventful. The police conducted a DWI safety check and made an arrest for possession of drugs. The department is continuing their training.

Village Attorney’s Report
Mr. Gesualdi reviewed his report with the Board and discussed future code changes. A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to ratify and confirm that Local Law #4 Home Businesses be approved, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved. Mr. Armonas is going to revisit his plan for a new house on Beach Drive now that he got input from residents at the issues conference.

Public Comment
Residents of Terra Mar drive and Crest Road are concerned about noise, vandalism and bon fires that are taking place in their privately owned beaches. Residents on Crest Road are concerned about a drainage issue. Residents of Bay Hills are concerned about zoning changes and a new house that is being built as well as a cabana in the waterfront preservation district.

Village Administrator Report
Mrs. Pincomb reviewed her report with the Board. The tax payments are coming in, there are only ten outstanding. Two applications will be before the Zoning Board at the next meeting.

Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and after careful review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Gai to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements, seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.

Minutes
A motion was made by Mr. Gai to approve the June minutes as amended, seconded by Mr. Meyer and unanimously approved.

Executive Session
At 9:40p.m., the Board convened into executive session to discuss the police contract. The PBA filed for binding arbitration. At 9:50p.m. The Board reconvened as the Board of Trustees.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, the monthly meeting was closed at 10p.m.
