Minutes, Board of Trustees, July 12, 2004

Present: Herb Morrow, Mayor

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30p.m.

Mayor Morrow was sworn in by Judge Stephen Kunken for his two year term. Jay Meyer and Donald Rave were also sworn in as Trustees.

Mayor Morrow thanked Neil Heimerich for his 13 years of service on the Zoning Board of Appeals and presented him with a plaque.

A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to appoint Jay Cavanagh to the Zoning Board of Appeals for the term 2004-2009, seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.

Police Chief’s Report:
Chief Ray Hubbs updated the Board on the month’s activity. There was a burglary on Locust Lane that is still under investigation. A house cleaner was arrested in Greenlawn who did business in the Village. Officer Schondebare is still out on disability. Anthony Canino is the new part-time officer. The Chief is waiting on the county to get a candidate for the full-time officer position.

Village Attorney’s Report:
Mr. Gesualdi reviewed and discussed his report with the Board.
The Esposito application needs amended covenants and restrictions regarding the landscape plan. A certified letter has been sent to the Esposito’s about the outstanding issues.

Village Administrator’s Report
Mrs. Pincomb presented her report. The majority of the taxes have come in. Delinquent letters have been sent out to those taxes that are still unpaid. All of the snow plowing assessments have been paid.

Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and after careful review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Gai to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements, seconded by Mr. Rave and unanimously approved.

Road Commissioner’s Report
Vineyard Road needs to be paved and there are some Multi-Modal monies left to fund that project. The Bay Hills and Bay Crest drainage projects will be moving forward in the Fall.

Police Contract
The Mayor suggested that a special meeting be held to discuss the contract.

The New Resident party will be held on September 12th at Bay Hills Beach from 4-6p.m.

The Quarterly will be mailed out within the next two weeks.

A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the June minutes, seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, the monthly meeting was closed at 9p.m.
