Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30pm. There is one public hearing this evening.
Chief’s Report:
Chief Hubbs delivered his report. There were 35 summons issued this month, 78 police reports taken and 2 DWI arrests. The radios were installed in the new 4WD police vehicle and that car is now in service. The DCJS grant is earmarked for data terminals for the police vehicles. Chief Hubbs will inquire if some of the funds can be diverted to purchase new portable speed indicators.
Public Hearing – Julie Brown, 257 Vineyard Road
Chris Millmann, landscape architect from the Laurel Group, presented the application to remove three trees and a number of saplings from a steep slope area. He stated that the trees are overhanging the house and pruning was not feasible. The trees will be removed by hand, no machinery will be placed on the slope and the stumps will not be removed nor will any of the vegetation on the slope be removed. The hearing was closed at 7:50pm. A motion made by Dennis Gai to approve the application was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the Board.
Executive Session
At 8:00pm the Board convened in Executive Session to enter into a discussion with Atty. Vincent Toomey regarding the final labor arbitration agreement. At 8:55pm the Board reconvened in regular session
Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the Board. Reminders were sent to two property owners whose taxes are unpaid. The board passed a resolution authorizing unpaid taxes to be collected at a Tax Lien Sale on March 13, 2007. Registered letters will be sent to property owners next month. All but three snow plowing assessments have been paid
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.
Roads
Mr. Gai reported that the bid was awarded to Antorino and Sons for the Bay Crest & Bay Hills phase of the drainage project. Our yearly drain cleanout and maintenance will begin this month
Minutes
A motion made by Mr. McCusker to approve the December 11th minutes was seconded by Mr. Rave and unanimously approved.
At 9:25p.m. with no further business to be brought before the Board a motion was made by Mr. Meyer to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously approved.
