Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:34 pm. There
is one public hearing this evening.
Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs delivered his report to the Board. There
were 994 Police reports and 474 tickets issued in
2008. Winter training for the Police department will
start in January.
Public Hearings
Kenneth Krach, 48 Taylor Road, Huntington
Bay
Charles Panetta presented the application to demolish
an existing in-ground pool and construct a new in-ground
pool, spa, BBQs, patios, stream waterfalls and associated
additional ‘hardscape’ and retaining walls
and to legalize an existing stone pillar with mailbox
and existing wood shed. The hearing was closed at
7:55 p.m. A transcript was taken by Barbara Snyder.
A motion was made by Don Rave to approve the application,
was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.
A discussion took place about potential code revisions
and a public hearing will be held next month.
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.
Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the Board. There
are two resolutions on the agenda for this evening
to be voted on.
Tax Collection Resolution –
A motion was made by Dennis Gai to approve the resolution
seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.
Suffolk County Planning Commission Resolution
- A motion was made by John McCusker to approve the
resolution seconded by Dennis Gai and unanimously
approved.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements
from December and the list of bills and, after review,
questions and discussion, a motion was made by John
McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim
financial statements for December which was seconded
by Dennis Gai and unanimously approved.
Road Commissioners Report
Dennis Gai delivered his report to the board. There
is one more drain left to be installed in Bay Crest
followed by landscape cleanup and road patching.
Minutes
A motion made by John McCusker to approve the December
minutes was seconded by Dennis Gai and unanimously
approved.
Executive Session
The Board entered into executive session at 9:35 p.m.
to discuss the PBA Contract and other personnel matters.
At 9:40 pm executive session was closed, and with
no further business to be brought before the Board
the meeting was closed.
