Minutes Board of Trustees January 14, 2008

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:35 pm. There are two public hearings this evening.

Chief’s Report
Mayor Morrow delivered the report to the board. There were no major activities in the month of December. The State grant was reconfigured to purchase the new speed signs.

Public Hearings

Gary & Diane DeLuca, 291 Vineyard Road, Huntington Bay, NY
Mr. Deluca presented the application to construct additions and alterations on a property located in the Waterfront Preservation District. Hearing closed at 8:00 p.m. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made to approve the application by John McCusker and seconded by Dennis Gai and unanimously approved.

6 Castle Harbor LLC ,1 Schwab Rd. Suite 8, Melville NY
In order to replace an existing house with a new dwelling Site Plan Review by the Planning Board is required. As the property contains steep slope lands, a Steep Slope Special Permit issued by the Planning Board of the Village of Huntington Bay is required. Hearing closed at 8:39 p.m. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made to approve the application by John McCusker and seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously approved.

Attorney's Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.

Executive Session
The Board went into Executive Session at 8:43 pm to discuss pending litigation. Executive session closed at 8:50 pm.

Administrator's Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the board. The Snow Plow company had to be called twice this past month for snow removal. A motion was made to release the Road Bond for 7 Beach Road by Dennis Gai and seconded by Don Rave and unanimously approved.

Tax Collection Resolution
A motion was made by the board to hold a tax sale on March 11, 2008 for unpaid taxes.

Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Dennis Gai to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements which was seconded by Don Rave and unanimously approved

Minutes
A motion made by Dennis Gai to approve the December minutes was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.

A motion made by John McCusker to approve the January 3rd minutes was seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously approved.

At 9:32 pm with no further business to be brought before the Board, Mayor Morrow closed the meeting.
