Zoning Board of Appeals - January 17, 2008

Mr. Cavanagh called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  He stated that there were three applications on the agenda this evening. 

John Woodward read the criteria by which the Zoning board makes its decisions.

Public Hearing:

John & Mary Kay Clement
, 14 Bay Crest, Huntington Bay
In order to install a new fireplace at an existing dwelling the applicant requires a variance for Front Yard and Structures Permitted in Front Yard. The hearing was closed at 7:37pm.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

Jeanne & Francis Riviezzo, 184 East Shore Road, Huntington Bay
In order to construct alterations to an existing kitchen the applicant requires a variance for Area of lot, Width of lot, Floor area ratio, Lot area coverage, Vision clearance, North side yard, South side yard. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.  The hearing was closed at 7:45 pm.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.

The public hearing for the Martinez application was cancelled because the applicant failed to show.  The board discussed the applications presented.

Decisions:

John & Mary Kay Clement, 14 Bay Crest, Application approved 3/0.

Jeanne & Francis Riviezzo, 184 East Shore Road, Application  approved 3/0. 

John Woodward made a motion to approve the minutes of October 4, 2007, which was seconded by Anthony Antonucci and unanimously approved.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, Mr. Cavanagh closed the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
