Minutes Board of Trustees February 8, 2010

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30 pm. There is one (1) Public Hearing this evening.

Chief’s Report
Chief Hubbs delivered his report to the board. The new police car will be delivered next week.

Public Hearing:
Maureen Raia, 1 Harborview Drive
Neil Hoffman presented the application to construct a new dwelling The hearing closed at 8:25 p.m. A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made by Don Rave to approve the application, was seconded by Jay Meyer, and unanimously approved subject to an approved truck route, detailed asbestos report, securing a road bond and the approval from the Wincoma Association for the removal of any of the association’s trees and their replacement.

Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the board.

Administrator’s Report
Lynn Pincomb delivered her report to the board. There are six (6) property taxes that are still unpaid. A certified letter was sent to each homeowner notifying them of the tax lien sale. The 2010/2011 tentative assessment role has been prepared. There have been eleven (11) requests for property tax reductions as of date. W2 forms and 1099’s were sent out to employees and contractors.

Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements from January and the list of bills and, after review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Jay Meyer to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements for January which was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.

Currently, there is an outstanding invoice from Farrell Fritz Law firm, in the amount of $31,000.00 for defending an article 78 lawsuit filed by a resident.

Minutes
A motion made by Jay Meyer to approve the January minutes was seconded by John McCusker and unanimously approved.


Executive Session
The Board of Trustees entered into Executive session at 9:08 pm to discuss the police contract. Executive session ended at 9:30 pm.

At 9:33 pm, with no further business to be brought before the Board the meeting was closed.
