Minutes, Board of Trustees, February 9, 2004

Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:45p.m. There are three public hearings this evening the Heller application, Local Law #2 Parking Commercial Vehicles and a Local Law #3 Amendment to Outdoor Lighting.

Public Hearing – Heller Application - 7 Locust Lane - Lot Line Modification, Subdivision & Site Plan
Mr. Steve Cody, the builder presenting the application, proposed subdividing the existing two acre parcel into two one acre parcels. He proposes to build two new homes removing the existing home. The two proposed homes will conform to the zoning code. The transcript for this hearing was taken by Laura Pinto. The hearing was held open until next month.

Public Hearing – Local Law #2 – Parking Commercial Vehicles
At 8:50p.m. the Board discussed restricting commercial vehicles from being parked outside overnight in the Village. Commercial vehicles can be parked in an enclosed garage. The transcript for this hearing was taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve Local Law #2, seconded by Mrs. Prior and unanimously approved.

Public Hearing – Local Law #3 – Outdoor Lighting
At 9:10p.m. the Board discussed restricting outdoor lighting. After discussion the Board decided to redraft the law and put it on the agenda for next month’s meeting. This hearing was held open. The transcript for this hearing was taken by Laura Pinto.

Police Report:
At 9:40p.m. Chief Hubbs and Sergeant Guirgis came before the Board with an update on the month’s activities. Sergeant Guirgis completed a month of training at supervisor school. He briefed the Board on the topics that he studied and the changes in procedure and policing. Sergeant Guirgis is now a training officer and he will be training the other officers.


Village Attorney’s Report:
Mr. Gesualdi reviewed his report with the Board.

Village Administrator’s Report
Mrs. Pincomb will distribute an election schedule to the Board next month. Snow letters will be sent out tomorrow. The Mayor asked that letters be sent to the association presidents asking them for input regarding the code revisions.

Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements and the list of bills and after careful review, questions and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim financial statements, seconded by Mr. Meyer, and unanimously approved.

Minutes
A motion was made by Mr. Meyer to approve the January minutes as amended, seconded by Mrs. Prior and unanimously approved.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, the monthly meeting was closed at 10:30p.m.
