Zoning Board of Appeals- December 15, 2011

Present:

Ron Prior, Chairman
Jay Cavanagh
John Woodward
Anthony Antonucci
John Williamson

Village Attorney: Mara Manin
Village Building Inspector: Richard Kinch

Mr. Prior called the meeting to order at 7:30p.m.  He stated that there is one (1) public hearing on the agenda.

Mr. Antonucci read the criteria by which the Zoning Board of Appeals makes its determination.

Public Hearing:

Frank & Jennifer Vizza, 10 Beach Drive
Mr. Prior read the public notice.  Michael McCarthy, attorney for the applicant and Neal Hoffman, architect for the applicant presented the application to remove and existing first floor and second floor and to construct a new home and garage; an in-ground swimming pool and to legalize various structures existing on the property. Neighbors appeared both in opposition and support of the application.  The hearing was closed at 8:50p.m.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto. 

The Board discussed the application presented.

Decisions: 

Mr. Prior again reviewed the criteria by which the Board makes its determinations.

Donna & Joseph Paternoster
The application is denied 5/0.    

Mr. Williamson, though not present for the second hearing on the above application, read the November transcript and therefore voted.

Perry & Felicia Weitz
The application is approved 4/0.

Mr. Williamson did not vote as he was not present at the November hearing.

A motion made by John Woodward to approve the November minutes was seconded by Anthony Antonucci and approved 4/0.   Mr. Williamson did not vote as he was not present at the November meeting.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, Mr. Prior closed the meeting at 9:30p.m.
