Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:30p.m.
Police Chief’s Report:
Chief Hubbs spoke to Suffolk County Police Commissioner
Richard Dormer about having a county sergeant give
the Board a presentation about gang violence next
month. There were two DWI arrests made this month
and an attempted larceny. The officers completed and
qualified for their firearms training on November
19th. The Officers will be attending K-9 training
on December 14th. Training for emergency vehicles
will be scheduled in the coming months. Chief Hubbs
is looking to hire some new part-timers, he will update
the Board contemporaneously.
Vineyard Road
Mr. Michael Pedone and the Mr. & Mrs. Esposito’s
asked to know the Boards plans regarding the Village
property at the end of Vineyard Road. The Board is
considering several different options which are dependent
on the cost of the projects and will keep the neighbors
informed before they make any final plans.
Code Revisions
Mayor Morrow would like to move forward with the code
revisions Mr. Kinch and Mr. Gesualdi will come back
to the Board with some options at the January meeting.
Village Attorney’s Report:
Mr. Gesualdi presented his report to the Board. They
discussed pending applications that are in front of
the Planning Board.
Village Administrator’s Report
Mrs. Pincomb presented her report. The delinquent
tax letters and the tax lien sale will be in March.
The Baylis/Rosewood and the Iarrobino applications
will be before the Board in January for steep slope
permits. Earth berms were built on the Todd’s
and Oehmler’s property and they are keeping
the water on the road and not flooding these properties.
Financials / Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements
and the list of bills and after careful review, questions
and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. McCusker
to approve the list of bills and the interim financial
statements, seconded by Mr. Gai and unanimously approved.
Minutes
The Board reviewed the October and November minutes.
The minutes were approved as amended. A motion was
made by Mr. Meyer to approve the October and November
minutes, seconded by Mr. McCusker and unanimously
approved.
Police Contract
At 8:50 p.m. the Board convened in executive session
to discuss police contract negotiations. At 9pm the
Board reconvened in open session.
The holiday party will be December 19th from 3-6p.m.
it is the 80th Anniversary of the Village. The Village
is collecting toys for the Pederson-Krag center. With
no further business to be brought before the Board,
the monthly meeting was closed at 9:40p.m.
