Mr. Prior called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  He stated that there was 1 application on the agenda this evening.

Ms. Manin read the criteria by which the Zoning Board of Appeals makes its determination.

Public Hearing:

Wendy & Michael Busby, 183 Bay Avenue, Huntington Bay
Mr. Prior read the public notice.  Mr. Margolin, Architect for the applicant presented the application to construct a new dwelling on an existing foundation.  The applicant will construct a LEED home which will be energy efficient and ecologically friendly. Twenty two neighbors presented letters of support for the application.  A transcript was taken by Laura Pinto.  Hearing Closed at 8:25 p.m.

Decisions:

Gary and Diane DeLuca, 291 Vineyard Road. Application approved 4/0.

John Kalas, 255 Huntington Bay Road.  Application approved 3/0.  Mr. Williamson abstained as he was not present during the hearing.

Leonard and Vicki Moskowitz, 12 Hillside Court.  Application approved 4/0.

Fran Geier, 23 Heckscher Drive.  Decision approved 4/0 to deny application.

Jay Cavanagh made a motion to approve the minutes from July 19, 2007, which was seconded by John Woodward and unanimously approved.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, Mr. Prior closed the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
