Mayor Morrow opened the meeting at 7:40 pm. There
are four public hearings this evening.
Public Hearings
Edward & Meryl Dowling, 40 Bay Crest.
James Margolin, attorney for the applicant, presented
the application to demolish an existing dwelling and
construct a new dwelling. This hearing is a continuation
from July. The hearing was closed at 8:50 p.m. A transcript
was taken by Laura Pinto.
Local Law 4-2009 entitled “Amendment
to Village Code Regarding Designation of Districts”
The purpose of this hearing was to amend Chapter 91.
The hearing was closed at 8:55 p.m. A transcript was
taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made by John McCusker
to adopt Local Law 4-2009, seconded by Jay Meyer,
and unanimously approved.
Local Law 5-2009 entitled “ Amendment
to Village Code Regarding District Regulations
The purpose of this hearing was to amend Chapter 91.
The hearing was closed at 8:57 p.m. A transcript was
taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made by Dennis
Gai to adopt Local Law 5-2009, seconded by Don Rave,
and unanimously approved.
Local Law 6-2009 entitled “Amendment
to Village Code regarding Flood Damage Prevention
The purpose of this hearing was to amend Chapter 34.
The hearing was closed at 9:05 p.m. A transcript was
taken by Laura Pinto. A motion was made by John McCusker
to adopt Local Law 6-2009, seconded by Jay Meyer,
and unanimously approved
Attorney’s Report
Mara Manin discussed her report with the Board.
Village Audit Report
Al Hulse delivered the annual Village Audit to the
board.
Administrator’s Report
As of today, there are twenty (20) unpaid taxes. Bills
will continue to be sent on a monthly basis until
they are all paid. There are no ZBA hearings this
month. The Town of Huntington is reviewing the proposal
for the renovations, under the Huntington Community
Development Grant, of the bathroom at Village hall.
Financials/Bills
The Board reviewed the interim financial statements
from July and the list of bills and, after review,
questions and discussion, a motion was made by John
McCusker to approve the list of bills and the interim
financial statements for July which was seconded by
Don Rave and unanimously approved.
Executive Session
The board entered into Executive Session at 10:00
p.m. to discuss contract negotiations. Executive Session
closed at 10:05 p.m.
Minutes
A motion made by John McCusker to approve the July
minutes was seconded by Jay Meyer and unanimously
approved.
At 10:06 pm, with no further business to be brought
before the Board the meeting was closed.
