AGENDA FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
The Zoning Board of Appeals of the
Village of Huntington Bay will hold a public hearing:
7:30 p.m. on
Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Village Hall
244 Vineyard Road, Huntington Bay
- Applicant: William Krause, 180 East Shore
Road. The property is located in Zoning District “C.” In
order to construct a two story addition,
a new garage, reconfigure a driveway and
to legalize an existing slate patio, tile
patio, cellar entrance and a front slate
patio; the applicant requires a variance
for Area of lot, Floor area ratio, Lot area
coverage and Side yards. Site Plan Review
by the Planning Board is required; referral
to the Suffolk County Planning Commission
is required.
- Applicant: Steven Bernardini, 312 Bay Avenue.
The property is located in Zoning District “D.” In
order to amend a previously approved application
to construct a one story addition, remodel an existing
kitchen, construct new exterior steps down to a
cellar entrance, a covered front porch and add
a second story dormer and to legalize all existing
structures, the applicant requires a side yard
variance and variance for items permitted in set
back areas.
- Applicant: Frank Perruzza, 21 Bay Road. The property
is located in Zoning District ‘C.’ In
order to legalize an addition begun before a building
permit was applied for and is currently the subject
of a stop work order and to legalize retaining
walls built without a building and grading permit
the applicant requires a variance for Side yard
and Items permitted in set back areas, compliance
of driveways. A Steep Slope Special Permit
issued by the Planning Board of the Village of
Huntington Bay is required. Site Plan Review
by the Planning Board is also required. Referral
to the Suffolk County Planning Commission is required.
- Sol & Jane Farkas, 16 Wincoma Drive.
The property is located in Zoning District ‘D.’
In
order to construct a new detached garage with art
studio and a driveway addition and to legalize
a concrete patio, a wood shed, a composite shed,
dry stone walls, timber walls, slate patio with
step, a pergola and two (2) bay windows the applicant
requires a variance for Area of lot, Lot area coverage,
Side yards, Rear yard, and Compliance of driveways.
As the proposal for development is in excess of
eighty (80) square feet, Site Plan Review by the
Planning Board is required.
- John
Schmid, 15 Wincoma Drive. The property is located
in Zoning District ‘D.’ In
order to construct a new detached
garage, remove an existing garage, reconfigure
a driveway, construct an in-ground pool and spa,
patios and terraces the applicant requires a variance
for Front yard, Permitted structures in the front
yard and Side yard. Site Plan Review by the Planning
Board is required. A Steep Slope Special
Permit is required.
