INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF HUNTINGTON BAY
Local Law No. 6 of the Year 2007
A local law entitled , “Amendment to Village
Code Regarding Overflow Parking.”
Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated
Village of Huntington Bay:
The Code of the Village of Huntington Bay is hereby
amended to revise Chapter 84 to read as follows:

[The following text shall be added to create a new
Section 84-6.1]
§84-6.1 Overflow Parking Permit.
Should a Village resident desire to have a gathering,
party or family event that will require the parking
of motor vehicles on the highways or private roads
within the Village of Huntington Bay, he/she shall
apply for a permit for overflow parking from the Village
Clerk. Should such permit be issued, the Applicant
must abide by any restrictions issued by the Police
Chief.
§84-6.2 Penalties for offenses.
Each offense against the provisions of this Chapter
or Article shall constitute a violation pursuant to
the Penal Law of the State of New York and shall be
punishable as such. Any person or persons violating
any provisions of this Chapter or Article shall be
liable for and pay a fine of not more than fifty dollars
($50.00) for a conviction on each offense.
Severability.
If any part or provision of this Local Law or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance
be adjudged invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction,
such judgment shall be confined in its operation to
the part or provision or application directly involved
in the controversy in which such judgment shall have
been rendered and shall not affect or impair the validity
of the remainder of this Local Law or the application
thereof to other persons or circumstances, and the
Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Huntington
Bay hereby declares that it would have passed this
Local Law or the remainder thereof had such invalid
application or invalid provision been apparent.
Effective Date.
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon
filing in the Office of the Secretary of State of
New York
